What is The Great Escape Oz?
The Great Escape Oz is a charity motoring event that seeks to make a difference to the lives of thousands of Australians suffering from Cystic Fibrosis by raising funds for the Cure4 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Car Lovers, Adventure Makers and Families in search of a different kind of holiday travel across this amazing Australian landscape, discovering locations not commonly listed in the travel guides, all in the name of FUN and FUNDRAISING!
A Brief History
Over the last 18 years, between 25 and 55 cars per year (including their entrants of course) have raised in excess of $4 million dollars for Cystic Fibrosis research with the added benefit of adventuring through our great brown land and seeing some stunning Australian locations including;
- Great Keppel Island, Fraser Island, the Red Centre, Ayers Rock, Kangaroo Island, the Whitsunday Islands, the magnificent Great Ocean Road, the far northern tropics of Port Douglas, the snow covered Alps of Victoria and NSW, the rugged Flinders Rangers, the Sapphire Coast of NSW, Rainbow Beach, the old and the new Ghan Railway, Coober Pedy and the Great Dividing Range (to name just a few).
